Whether it is consulting, volunteering, or health coaching, Joanne brings the same level of immersion, learning, open-mindedness, thoughtful problem solving and mentoring to each situation.

Coach, Writer
-
In addition to her health coaching practice, Joanne writes for FitLifeTV, and is a Wellness Coach at the annual Camp Reboot program run by Joe Cross, Director and ‘Star’ of the movie Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. This is fitting since FSND launched her resolve to find health.
-
Joanne joined the health-thru-food revolution in early 2012 after finding answers to her own health and weight challenges. She started GLAD for Health knowing that there are many people who have not given up, but continue to be overstressed and overwhelmed about their health, body and the emotions about them. Joanne is ready to teach, problem solve, coach, and cheer clients on. Joanne is also ready to support other budding health coaches to push this revolution forward, and feels strongly that the food dining industry needs to jump on board.
Health Coach Training, Associations -
Joanne received a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition through eCornell and the T. Colin Campbell Foundation. She also earned her Certificate as a Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition and became a Certified Juicing Coach through Reboot with Joe. Joanne is a member of the International Association of Health Coaches (IAHC) and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).

Business Woman, Corporate World
-
For more than 30 years, Joanne worked in the corporate business world as a leader in a Fortune 100 company, as a business owner of Bezwax, Inc. and a consultant supporting corporations, small businesses and start-ups. Joanne has the mind of a businessperson, but she is also socially connected, spiritual and compassionate. These facets all work together in harmony and make Joanne very unique.

Beyond Coaching
-
To further help make the health transition easier, Joanne is writing a cookbook. With deep roots from an Italian, family-centric life in the kitchen, Joanne considers herself a chef, not just a cook and is passionate about recipe creation, anything chef/food related, restaurants, and cooking schools. She has enjoyed recreational classes at both The Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Park and at The Institute of Culinary Education in New York City.
-
Degrees
-
Joanne earned her MBA through The Executive Program at New York University Stern School of Business and holds a BS in Mathematics from Clarkson University. During her tenure in the corporate world Joanne attended Executive Management classes at the University of Pennsylvania-The Wharton School, where interestingly enough, some classes touched on having a more thoughtful and balanced life. In fact, while still in the corporate world Joanne would often coach her teams through exercises helping them identify important life circles and then visualize their life story.
-
Overall, Joanne’s driving motto is... learn all you can about a subject and then openly share that learning with others. <back>
